This is the wedding photography blog for Melbourne based photographer Brent Lukey.

Brent combines a documentary and editorial style capturing classic, natural moments without making the day feel like a photo shoot.

He will travel anywhere, but mostly gets about Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, and Geelong.

Lisa and Tim - Tennyson Lawn, RBG and Glasshaus Inside, Cremorne.

There are parts of all wedding shoots that stay with me - sometimes it’s the energy of the couple, their joy and passion for the day and each other, other times the understated spectacle, such as the glorious view across Port Philip Bay from a private Mount Martha cliff top, and occasionally it's the intense moment in the city where you are forced to stop the pedestrians and pull out everything to get a great shot in the mayhem. Yet mostly it's the little things, the smiles and affection between friends and family, pats on the back, laughs or an unexpected candid and sublime moment in a groom's speech when it's announced to all (including the bride) the first time he knew he deeply loved his partner. At Lisa and Tim’s fabulous inside/outside garden wedding it was being invited to sit up on the bridal table for dinner and share some laughs and a Moon Dog. So nice and memorable, I love the inclusion. Oh their first dance was memorable too, they nailed it, such passion and joy.
