The First Dance - The Prince Deck, St Kilda.

What I really want to capture is a connection between the couple, something sweet, in love, but not over the top or icky - this connection makes or breaks the shot. So having found the composition I like, I watch ... keeping an eye on the couple, the videographer and the guests - shapes, angles, light, movement and expression - now I just need the elements to synchronise. The video is moving around, I can sense the moment, I shoot three frames as he flanks and presto! Everyone's in a nice place and the couple look gorgeous. I love the photograph, it moves me.
