This is the wedding photography blog for Melbourne based photographer Brent Lukey.

Brent combines a documentary and editorial style capturing classic, natural moments without making the day feel like a photo shoot.

He will travel anywhere, but mostly gets about Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, and Geelong.

You can contact Brent on 0427 483 836 and look at more work at his web sites.

Two moments - Gardens House, RBG Melbourne.

The first photograph is just after the processional, the greeting. I love the connection between the couple. Not to mention the dress, flowers, suit and tie. All stunning. The second photo is the recessional, the celebration. Another great connection between the couple. Nothing beats a natural moment. More to come.

... natural happy moments in nice light

It's the natural happy moments in nice light that excite me the most. This one is late in the night while dancing at the Baxter Barn.

Kirsty can draw and Davy can sing.

Kirsty can draw, her handwriting, precise and personal has a whimsical style that I love. Take a look at the table numbers below - each a hand written thing of beauty. Kirsty can do wonderful wedding blackboards, place cards, numbers and much, much more. You can contact her at

Davy Simony can sing, he can also play guitar and I'm sure he melts hearts. His music makes you want to chill, grab another Corona and flirt a little. Seek him out, see him live, buy a CD and book him for your next function at

So now a sneak peek at Helyna and Heath's wedding day - a few drinks at the surf club, till death do us part, home is wherever I'm with you, father and son at the altar, a kiss to build a dream on, Kirsty's table numbers, Davy Simony with mini Maton, the kid's table, the pineapple cake, welcome to the family, and potage of the sea. Plus much more. Cheers.

Feature Wedding - Rachel and Ben - Treasury Gardens and River's Edge, Melbourne.

Week to week it's the people who make my work enjoyable, that's where I get the buzz. Being within and apart from the family and friends, the emotion, the thrill and poignancy of the moment we will all share. A group gathered in a public space to support, to party and to share love, actually. Not gushy romantic love, but real life on an exciting day we-are-all-in-this-together love and respect. That's why I like weddings and also why I shoot in a natural style - the energy is there, you don't need to make it up. And that brings me to Rachel and Ben, who came back to Melbourne from rugged and remote places to exchange rings and vows, and drink a little champagne. Take a look - Rachel and Ben - Treasury Gardens and River's Edge, Melbourne.
