This is the wedding photography blog for Melbourne based photographer Brent Lukey.
Brent combines a documentary and editorial style capturing classic, natural moments without making the day feel like a photo shoot.
He will travel anywhere, but mostly gets about Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, and Geelong.
You can contact Brent on 0427 483 836 and look at more work at his web sites.

A gorgeous beachy Brighton wedding.
Between the harsh sun, flies, wind, heat, picnic onlookers and nearby weddings, finding the beauty and getting the photographs is not always easy - but it's what I have to do. I love this Brighton Beach wedding that I shot recently.

This is why you go out later when the light is nice - Carousel, Albert Park.
Father of the Bride - Brighton Baths.
Portraits of the bride and groom's parents are some of my favourite shots - perhaps it's because I have only one photo of my father who notoriously avoids the camera - as do I!

Jane and Mick's wedding - Picnic Point and The Terrace, RGB.
The hardest thing about my job is keeping
it fresh and treating each wedding as an individual event. To turn up with ideas, to be creative, find the light, use the location and try to understand how the couple interact naturally, how the family relates
and then integrate all that into each frame while keeping it real and
festive. It's about honouring what makes this couple, this group of people and
this wedding special. No wonder
I'm exhausted every
Monday.
Jane and Mick were married at Picnic Point in Melbourne's Royal Botanical Gardens. The girls dressed at the Lyall hotel in South Yarra, had drinks with friends and family in the hotel bar, walked up Toorak Rd and caught a tram to the gardens - a great and memorable start. Celebrant John Byrne lead the ceremony with heart and fun - he is good. From there it was drinks, photos, fun, more drinks, dinner, speeches, more fun and dancing.
