This is the wedding photography blog for Melbourne based photographer Brent Lukey.
Brent combines a documentary and editorial style capturing classic, natural moments without making the day feel like a photo shoot.
He will travel anywhere, but mostly gets about Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, and Geelong.
You can contact Brent on 0427 483 836 and look at more work at his web sites.
Two super
weddings on the weekend. These photos are from Friday starting at the
Crown Metropol hotel and ending at Ascot House receptions. I should add a
big thanks to my mate Rodney Dekker for helping me out on this shoot.
It was the light pattern on the ceiling that inspired this shot (above).
That's all in camera right there folks. In my typical style - find a
good background with nice light, give simple direction, then let the
couple be themselves (above).
Shot a cute job for a couple who needed some photos to show at their Malaysian wedding next week. I'm shooting their Melbourne wedding this weekend. Hope the rain holds out.
Here's an example of what I love to capture. The first photo is the bride emerging from a bedroom in her dress, followed by mum. The second is what the bride sees, her father, bridesmaid and friend - I love the moment. It's a candid shot, but I saw the potential to capture it about 10 minutes earlier and quietly anticipated it, just hoping everyone would hold their position ... and they did! That's wedding photojournalism.
Been working through 4 weddings this week and this photo caught my attention.
Art photography prizes are my favorite photo competitions and the Moran is a big one, so get your entries in now for the 2012
Moran Contemporary Photography Prize.
Stylish, incredible attention to
detail, lovely people and beautiful locations in St John’s
church Sorrento and a private residence in Mt Martha. A great wedding. I
could have blogged 150 photos because there’s so much I like about the work.
