This is the wedding photography blog for Melbourne based photographer Brent Lukey.

Brent combines a documentary and editorial style capturing classic, natural moments without making the day feel like a photo shoot.

He will travel anywhere, but mostly gets about Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, and Geelong.

You can contact Brent on 0427 483 836 and look at more work at his web sites.

Saturday 5.16pm Sault at Daylesford

People often ask me what I love to photograph and more and more the answer comes back to documentary (real people and places). There's truth in documentary, it's history and reality without the stylist's eye. Over time rarely does lifestyle, food or fashion photography become artistically significant. Fashion, food and lifestyle is made for the present, the now-wow-buy-me factor, it's pretty and pays the bills, but is mostly style over substance. Weddings have the documentary factor, they are significant moments in peoples lives and the photographs are often cherished over generations. I like that and it's a major part of the satisfaction I have with my job.

Here's Katie arriving at Sault in Daylesford on Saturday afternoon, in about 5 minutes she will walk down the aisle ... more later.
