This is the wedding photography blog for Melbourne based photographer Brent Lukey.

Brent combines a documentary and editorial style capturing classic, natural moments without making the day feel like a photo shoot.

He will travel anywhere, but mostly gets about Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, and Geelong.

You can contact Brent on 0427 483 836 and look at more work at his web sites.

weddings, film stills and computer breakdown

The last two weeks have been crazy busy. Three weddings, a week of shooting stills on a film and my photo editing PC had a motherboard failure. Photos from the weddings and film I'll show on this blog in due course, however the PC problem leads me to explain just another reason why to choose a professional photographer.

When you engage a professional photographer you get more than great photos. A pro has a complete system in place to create and also protect your photos. For example, I always carry backup cameras, lenses, batteries and flash units etc. when shooting. Then once complete all work is backed up in case of computer breakdown and archived for five years. Not to mention public liability insurance. These are good things to consider when employing a photographer, especially if the shoot cannot be replicated - like a wedding.

A few stock shots of kangaroos I took last year.
