This is the wedding photography blog for Melbourne based photographer Brent Lukey.

Brent combines a documentary and editorial style capturing classic, natural moments without making the day feel like a photo shoot.

He will travel anywhere, but mostly gets about Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, and Geelong.

Gum Gully Farm - it's real and it's joyous - tears, rain, laughter, dogs ...

It's December at Gum Gully Farm in Sylvan, most of the day has been wet - and it's summer for goodness sake - Shay has been planning this day for well over a year, December or February? December! On top of this, there has been an emergency, a serious one that has delayed perfectly planned proceedings. We reset. Celebrant Sally Hughes (who is brilliant at her job) brings the ceremony back together, it's real and it's joyous - tears, rain, laughter, dogs, umbrellas, words of love, songs of love and celebration. Everyone makes the most of it, we eat, drink, dance, have ice cream and Shay sings a song - we laugh some more.
