Katia and Aaron - St Patrick's Cathedral and Black Box by Stokehouse, Melbourne.

Week in, week out, there's only one thing I'm looking to photograph - the connection, the light between, the energy if you like, that sparks the couple, their friends and their family. It's my stress and my joy. Find the connection and the beauty in the chaos. And it is chaos. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's difficult - but I can't show how difficult it is.

After a magnificent ceremony at St Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne and a quick drink and some photos in the nearby Fitzroy Gardens. It was at our next location, in Richmond, in a back alley, near Katia and Aaron's first home that I finally got them. It happened when they showed up with pizza and beer from their favourite pizza shop ('Baby' by the way - it's great). Before that I was taking the wedding too seriously, I needed to let it go and lighten up, so I did. The afternoon gave way to a late night of dancing, drumming, dancing, food, champagne, laughter, dancing and more champagne. We all expected this to happen by the beach at Stokehouse in St Kilda, but sadly we lost that magnificent venue a week before.
