Jennifer and Scott's wedding - The Prince Deck, St Kilda.

The April/May Melbourne wedding is blessed with autumn colour and an icy, misty romance but the fading light makes it tricky to fit bridal party and family photos in prior to the reception. To get around this many couples choose to take these photographs before the ceremony - a 'first look' as it's sometimes known. The first look also works well for any wedding were you want to enjoy as much of the celebration as possible without the pressure of the photos, but it has pros and cons, so you have to work out what's best for you. For Jen and Scott's wedding at The Prince Deck in St Kilda it worked a treat. Great emotion, no gawking guests, a walk down Acland street and we were done, ready for the ceremony then straight into the party - and a great party it was.
